Exclussive - Shahrukh Khan's Weird Look

It's finally here. The first promo of Aditya Chopra's latest movie, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, is officially out. In the one minute promo, we get two quick shots of the debutant actress, young Anushka Sharma. Then Shah Rukh Khan appears as the character we saw in the first look poster. His hair matted down, dorky glasses, a mustache. He's dancing in the streets, interacting with others, and we get a peek of Anushka riding in a rickshaw. In the end, we see SRK and Anushka together, with SRK putting a bit of sindoor on Anushka's forehead. He turns away, and she takes the opportunity to smear the color onto his cheek. A very cute moment. As for the song, 'Haule Haule', it is sung by Sukhwinder Singh. It's a bit typical, but it fits the scene. Salim-Suleman have a lot to live up to with the music for RNBDJ, it seems they've gotten off on the right foot. The song is nothing mind blowing, but as most songs, it will probably grow on you. Overall, it's a nice first promo. Maybe fans were expecting to see a big compilation of scenes, with powerful background music, lots of great shots of the movie, but YRF gives us a song instead, even before the soundtrack has released. This first promo, like it or not, certainly has everyone talking and again it looks like Yash Raj knows exactly what they are doing.

Kareena Kapoor, as she grows older, is being more and more candid with the media. In a recent interview, she was more willing to talk about things like her diet, Shahid, and Saif. Kareena said she is now a better - calm and stronger person now. She said, "I'm a stronger girl now, far more at ease with myself than I was earlier. I'm doing things, which I want to." Talking about her break-up with Shahid Kapoor she said, "It was a very difficult perieod. Whatever went wrong between Shahid and me is very personal. I have always maintained that Shahid will always be a part of my life. But, we are better off as friends. There is no animosity. Some times there are no reasones for things that happen in life. Even if there's one, I dont think its right to talk about it openly." Moving on to Saif, Kareena says he is her perfect man. "He is fun and extremely loyal. Akshay Kumar's the perfect host for Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi. And he proved that in Bangkok a few days ago, when Viacom18 revealed its upcoming Hindi General Entertainment Channel. The channel to be launched in July is called COLORS and Akshay's show, planned across 16 episodes, is one of its initial flagship shows, the other being Mohe Rang De, a period drama set in the backdrop of 1942's Quit India Movement. At the Bangkok event, when Akshay was asked what 'fear' meant to him he came down from the stage and shocked everyone by pulling out a python from underneath one of the tables and wrapping it around his neck. "You have to stand up to your fears," he declared. And what did he fear most? "I fear investing money, I fear animals. But I like to deal with my fears," said the actor, who's known for doing his stunts in films himself. The term 'daredevil' has become synonymous with Akshay (we aren't just talking about the IPL team). After the thriller Race, comes another suspense film, Bhram. Only this film does not brag of a stellar cast like Race. Despite that, Bhram holds its own. Bhram is Pawan Kaul's second directorial venture after his first thriller, Sssshh..., and stars Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Sheetal Menon and Simone Singh. Shantanu (played by Dino) is on a mission to locate the mysterious Indra, a man from his sweetheart Antara's (played by debutante Sheetal Menon) past to find out what crime he had committed that almost ruined her life. The film keeps shifting between the present and flashback scenes. We see the tortured damsel in distress Antara, and Shantanu, her knight in shining armour. Everything seems to be going well until the intermission. And that's where we see the first threads of suspense. The second half is faster and works better than the first. Secrets are revealed, illusions are shattered, and we begin to see people for what they really are. Dino MoreaDino and Sheetal do a good job. Milind, who plays Shantanu's brother, does not have much screen time. Simone, playing Milind's wife, has great screen presence and turns in a natural performance. Her scenes with Dino in the first half -- the lovable bhabhi-dewar banter -- is like a breath of fresh air. Music has been composed by Siddharth-Suhas and Pritam Chakraborty. Jaane kyun tanha ho gaye and Meri Akhiya are good numbers, the rest don't match up. Director Pawan Kaul has put in a lot of effort, and it shows. On the surface, Bhram has a lot going for it -- plenty of steamy scenes, sexy women and gorgeous men -- but there's only so much that you can take of them. The film has many plots and twists, but does not grip you as it should.

At least as far as her market price goes, Katrina is being paid Rs six crores for a two-film deal by production house Studio 18. That's Rs three crore per film. She is getting over a crore for a item number song in the Akshay Kumar starrer Blue. And now even a Yash Raj flick with John Abraham is reportedly paying her Rs three crores. All this makes Katreena Kaif one of Bollywood's highest paid actresses alongside Kareena Kapoor. Kareena, who also reportedly charges about Rs three crores a film, has a two-film deal with Studio18 and another three film deal with Ashtavinayak Films that produced Jab We Met. The Katrina deal according to reports seems to have rattled Kareena and she's raised her price tag to Rs six crore for her next film. But Ashtavinayak Films that's producing the film has denied any such demand. So maybe no one is willing to sign Kareena as yet for that kind of money.

The Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has taken strong exception to allegations of "indecent behaviour" levelled against Bollywood actor Nana Patekar by upcoming star Tanushree Datta. The MNS has written letters to different associations of cine producers to 'blacklist' Tanushree for accusing a senior actor like Nana of bad behaviour during the shooting of an item number for the movie Horn OK Pleassse on Wednesday. The organisation, which was recently in the news for its violence against the north Indians living in Mumbai, has threatened to agitate against the actress if she does not give an unconditional apology to the actor, whom it describes as the "pride of Maharashtra". Meanwhile, producer of Horn OK Pleassse, Sami Siddiqui, filed a complaint Saturday with the Association of Motion Picture and TV Programme Producers (AMPTPP) against Tanushree. He alleged that his production firm, Sunshine Pictures Pvt. Ltd, incurred a heavy loss because the actress failed to complete shooting for the item song being filmed on her and Nana. In his complaint, Siddiqui also stated that the goodwill of his production firm was tarnished because Tanushree went to the media saying that she was "coerced" by director Rakesh Sarang and choreographer Ganesh Acharya to do steps in the item song she did not feel comfortable doing. Acting quickly on the complaint, the AMPTPP dashed off a letter to the actress, asking her to pay a compensation of Rs 65 million. This would include Rs 15 million to Sunrise Pictures Pvt. Ltd. and Rs 50 million for defaming it in public. Sunrise Pictures Pvt. Ltd. had signed Tanushree for Rs 1.5 million for the item number to be shot over four days. She had been paid an advance of Rs 500,000. According to Siddiqui, he as well as Sarang and Acharya had explained to Tanushree what her steps would be in the dance number. "She had agreed to it," Siddiqui said. "They [Sarang and Acharya] also agreed when she requested them not to compel her to wear a costume she would not be comfortable with. So we were surprised when she walked out of the sets on the last day of the shooting [March 26] after taking part in it for two days," Siddiqui said on Saturday. But what took this issue to another level altogether is the spat which happened yesterday, between Tanushree Datta and Nana Patekar on the sets of Rakesh Sarang's Horn Ok Pleassss. The incident occurred during the picturisation of an item number with choreographer Ganesh Acharya. Tanushree, allegedly, reasoned that instead of the chorographer, it was Nana who started showing her the steps and in the bargain, he came too close and made her feel uncomfortable. Her car was then allegedly 'attacked' by hoards of journalists, who just wanted a video 'byte' from her over the issue. No one can deny the fact that Shah Rukh Khan is the biggest global superstar in the Hindi film industry. As is well known, King Khan has taken up another TV quiz show (after Kaun Banega Crorepati), which will run during prime time on the country's number 1 channel, across March end, April and May. It is given that the show, 'Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? ' will command record eyeballs for sure, especially during the initial episodes. As is known, Shah Rukh Khan also owns a cricket team in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kolkota Knight Riders, which will play Twenty20 competitions in which a record 59 matches will be played and telecast in April-May. Knowing the involvement of SRK and some of the other high profile members in IPL, it is naturally going to be a huge event that will command undivided attention of the cricket crazy nation. So it is but obvious that both Shah Rukh's television show and the IPL cricket tournament will have an adverse effect on the films releasing during those times. And will take away the audience that might otherwise have bought tickets for entertainment purposes. Well, on a serious note, its only the makers (who have cinematically inferior products) and media hyped stars who need to worry and will crib about these factors for the failure of their projects. There have been countless instances when audiences have thronged to the theatres despite the most hyped events. But then on many of those occasions, King Khan was on the right side of the fence for Bollywood!

And one day in the week is my 'cheat-day' when I let myself go completely mad and have all the cakes and chocolates. Being half south Indian, tairasadam (curd-rice) or sambar-rice is a must on that one day. At a time when a lot of actresses are uncomfortable doing bold roles, you did the daring role of a lesbian in Girlfriend . What made you do that? Well, the mindset of the average heroine here is still somewhat prudish, and they want to do the tried and tested roles. As the reports of Kareena Kapoor's collapse during the shoot of Tashan raise questions about her crash diet, dad Randhir Kapoor is quite upset with Bebo's weight obsession. Voicing his concern, he says, "I have told her to stop the 'diet business.' She has become quite thin and must not lose more weight, but Bebo tells me that I should go on a diet because I am terribly overweight. Now what you can you say to that!" It's common knowledge that Bebo is literally surviving on love and fresh air these days, with chhote nawab by her side. But has the daddy dearest accepted her beau? Britney Spears´ life seems to be calming down somewhat now that her Dad is in control of her finances and the evil genius Sam Lutfi is unable to drug her anymore, but don´t think that means the drama has died away completely. Oh no, Sam Lutfi is apparently not ready to let go so easily, and a heretofore unknown lawyer has filed papers in federal court claiming that Britney Spears´ conservatorship arrangements are an illegal breach of her civil liberties. The attorney´s name is John Eardley, and he claims that Britney called him on the phone and that the result of that phone call was the filing of the legal papers. Funnily enough, there is no real proof that Britney ever got in touch with the lawyer, but there is proof that the lawyer also has connections with Sam Lutfi. How convenient. Prisoner Britney´s Desperate Lawsuit The claim is that Britney is a prisoner in her own home, and that the California courts railroaded her into the conservatorship arrangement. Its interesting how in spite of Britney´s hugely public meltdown over the past year, there are still people who think she´s doing just fine. I wonder if we can have them committed. Bollywood Gossips - Boney Kapoor is all set to start his No Entry sequel this year finally. "The film will be called No Entry Mein Entry. We are currently working on its script. And will soon start the project", confirms Boney Kapoor. The original blockbuster directed by Anees Bazmee had an ensemble starcast of Bollywood Actors Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Anil Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, Celina Jaitley and Bipasha Basu in lead roles. Will the same cast be repeated in the sequel? "Well, more or less it will have the same star cast", says Boney. When we prod him more he adds, "Salman will surely be there. So will be others, except Bipasha Basu". But why is only Bollywood Actress Bipasha being left out? Does it have anything to do with Bollywood Actor Salman Khan who shares cold vibes with John Abraham? Rumours say Actor Salman doesn't want to work with John's girlfriend Bipasha now.
